Welcome to this wonderful support group.
Please always take the advice of your medical practitioner. Do not change your medication or your treatment, unless under strict medical advice.

This is not a medical site but the support that you will receive from other members will be extremely rewarding.

To assist you in navigating all the resources available to you, please look at the top of your screen. You will see categories listed as *posts, comments, Q&A, Team, Articles* and so on.

When you type your question on Q&A, it will be posted on a blue background, which will bring it to the attention of AI, DiabetesTeam Community Managers, and also to other members.

Tap the 2 horizontal bars at the top left of your screen. Scroll down and tap on the resource that you are searching for. The resources contain a wealth of invaluable information.

Control what emails you would like to receive by scrolling down to email settings.

If you would like to talk directly to a particular member, type @ before their name (don’t leave a space)and it will go to their own home page.

If, for any reason, you do not want to communicate with any particular member, tap the 3 dots on the bottom right of their post and block them.

Henry @A DiabetesTeam Member who is a very experienced senior Ambassador, will share exceptionally good advice with you, when he welcomes you. Henry suffers from, and is dealing with, a vast amount of illnesses and health struggles, which he ensures that he stays on top of, by working very hard at it, all the while, helping everyone he welcomes, every single day, every single member.
@A DiabetesTeam Member Henry encourages everyone to never give up, to never surrender, to never let the beast win, to always be in control of the beast.
Also be sure to read all the posts from another very experienced senior Ambassador, @A DiabetesTeam Member who provides and shares practical, excellent, invaluable and in depth information, and he has a wonderful sense of humour.

If you are struggling with high blood sugar, please consider going back to basics. You have nothing to lose but everything to gain.

Start a food diary to see what food might be causing your BS to be raised and which might be making you feel just so-so.

Practice portion control.

Eat only Diabetic friendly meals.

White foods, sugar, white bread, pizza, pasta, white potatoes and so on will elevate your BS and you will feel unwell.

Slowly cut carbs.

If you don’t have kidney problems, hydrate well.

If overweight, you will need to lose.

If you are not exercising, you can start by taking short walks and then extending them, little by little.

If you constantly feel under par, you should consider making an appointment to see your Health Care Professional, as you might need a reassessment of your meds.

You need to keep your BS stabilised to stop highs and low which will lead to cumulative damage. 🤗
Apologies if I’ve already welcomed you.
