Are you lancing the "side" of the finger tip/pad?

If not the skin is thinner if you pick a spot "just below" the side edge of the fingernail - the capillaries are a lot closer to the surface then in the pads of the fingers which is tough skin

So often not every finger skin is.soft. Depends on the work you do with hands /fingers may develop calluses, as this part of skin gets more harder for protection of repeated use. To brick the finger becomes more difficult. To find which finger,
which is the best place for the ideal surface. The amount of suggestion is plenty, and you certainly will find a good solution. Good luck

How can you get a better blood sample for glucose testing?

Try warming your hands under warm water or gently massaging your finger before doing the fingerstick test. This helps improve blood flow and makes it easier to get an adequate blood sample for testing. Important: Avoid squeezing your finger too hard to get blood, as this can mix blood with other tissue fluids and lead to inaccurate high readings. Let the blood flow naturally after pricking your finger for the most accurate results.

If you continue having trouble getting enough blood for testing, discuss this with your healthcare provider. They can review your technique and may suggest adjustments to make testing easier.

Also be sure to replace your lancet often. You would be amazed at how they wear out unseen by the human eye.
