Getting to normal weight and counting carbs is the "best way" to control blood sugar with or without meds
Exercise is good for overall health but it is the "least effective way" of controlling blood sugar so it should be low on the list for sugar control but high on the list for cardiovascular health

Tracking your blood sugar readings regularly in a journal can help you identify patterns and make adjustments to your daily routine. This allows you to better understand how different foods and activities affect your numbers. Staying in close contact with your healthcare team is also essential. They can help optimize your diabetes management plan and make necessary adjustments based on your blood sugar patterns. A diabetes educator or nurse can provide routine assessments and personalized guidance for maintaining healthy blood sugar levels.
Remember that different types of activities can affect blood sugar differently - some may cause levels to drop while others might cause them to rise. Understanding these patterns helps you make informed decisions about your daily routine.
