HI Connie, that condition is a joint/ligment disorder and commonly affecting type 2 diabetics, and yes it does affect us as diabetics as it affects our nerves system, and the common cause for this is due to obesity.

I have some osteoarthritis but the cause was lime disease. Thank goodness after treatment with a specialist it is mild but will progress as I continue to age. I still walk daily and swim and ski. Being active will slow down progression.

Thanks I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis before I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I exercise six days a week and it helps.
