Members shared their personal journeys with reducing or quitting caffeine, with most describing an initial adjustment period of sluggishness that does eventually pass, though it can take several days to weeks. Several members offered practical strategies including gradually switching to half-caff or decaf options, trying mushroom coffee as a gentler alternative, drinking green tea for lower caffeine content, and eating small amounts of fruit like apples for natural energy boosts. A recurring theme was that moderation and gradual reduction tend to work better than going cold turkey, with many members finding sustainable routines by balancing one caffeinated drink in the morning with decaf beverages throughout the rest of the day.

When I got my diagnosis I quit sugar and caffeine. It was very rough and I felt horrible for a few days but it gets easier.
