Looking For Healthy Breakfast Ideals, Lunch Ideals As Well.
I work overnights five nights a week Mondays to Fridays
12 am to 8 am so my meals are a little different. I take my insulin and other medications at lunch 12:30 pm and bed time is
1:30 pm to 2 pm. I usually wake up at 9:30 pm leaving home at 10:30 pm. So I usually pack my work lunch when I get home in the morning, portion control work lunch. Nothing heavy for work lunch because no sleeping on the job for me.
I appreciate any help you can give.
Peanut butter and celery! My go to lunch
Can't go wrong with eggs and a protein (bacon, ham, sausage - just not too much, have to watch the Saturated Fats)
Any kind of fish for lunch with greens - tuna salad, chicken salad, turkey salad or the like - low carb, high protein, unsaturated fats
@A DiabetesTeam Member hello dear friend I am seldom hungry at breakfast time early mornings so I usually have some coffee and then a mandarin and toast or just fruit.
For lunch I have a couple of thin rice cakes with some chicken and coleslaw and a salad of small tomatoes, Continental cucumber slices with some garlic aioli and some Dallas lettuce π₯¬ and it keeps me going through till the evening meal and I have been making a large batch of Lamb chops with lots of vegetables π₯¦ π₯ and a can of Italian tomatoes with basil and oregano
