Members shared mixed experiences with TENS units for nerve pain related to sciatica and diabetic neuropathy, with several finding meaningful relief by using devices like Dr. Ho's system with specialized patches and belts that allow multiple daily treatments, while others struggled to figure out proper placement or found them ineffective. Many community members described deeply troubling side effects from Gabapentin, including a funky or flying sensation, hallucinations at higher doses, severe withdrawal symptoms starting within 12 hours of missing a dose, and dangerous complications when combined with infections or other medications. A recurring theme was the exhausting search for pain management that actually works without devastating side effects, with members offering alternatives like codeine with Tylenol, Butrans patches, red light therapy, and cautioning each other about proper dosing and the heightened risks for those with kidney disease or on dialysis.

My Bride uses a dual channel tens machine so she can treat 2 areas at once on different settings. She adjusts them each as needed. She uses them for relief of muscle issues.

I know there are others that use tens machines, but I am drawing a blank at the moment.

I guess I am too focused on the Tour de France at the moment.

My Bride also uses a red cold laser machine to increase blood flow and speed healing. (That is quite expensive.)

They both were devices used in different therapies that my Bride needed in the past.

I bought them so we could continue to use them for treatment at home between sessions, so that she could have quicker progress.

We still use almost daily.

Good luck.
