Members connected over the post about World Hypertension Day and metabolic syndrome, with many sharing that they had not known about the awareness day but appreciated the reminder to care for the whole body, not just blood sugar. Several members described how weight loss, diet changes, and exercise improved their blood pressure, cholesterol, and overall health, with one member crediting diabetes as a wake-up call that led to remission and the discontinuation of multiple medications. A recurring theme was the importance of managing all aspects of metabolic health together, recognizing that diabetes often comes with other conditions like hypertension and high cholesterol that require ongoing attention and lifestyle adjustments.

This photo of yours gets my "vote" @A DiabetesTeam Member I plan to try some new ones for me soon. I just had to get my photo taken for my volunteer badge and was hoping to be able to use that-nope-looks just as bad (for different reasons) than the passport one. I really need to find a magician for my hair.

I must say that I did not know that. Good to mark it though as it reminds us to take time out.
