Since it's released in response to digestion if you eat foods that take longer to digest (or we try to digest but can't) you will release more GLP-1 then compared to eating something like a sugary treat which is digested super quickly

Slow digesting foods are Fats, and if you try for the unsaturated ones then they are all round healthy, foods high in fiber and most proteins

The longer we digest the more GLP-1 released = the pancreas releases a "Bolus Shot" of Insulin for a longer period of time = lower post-prandial (after meal) blood sugar

Or you take a shot of Ozempic or Mounjaro or any of the other GLP-1 Agonist Class Drugs 😁

Hi GrahamLamb, I don't want to start taking shots. It sounds too complicated to do. I'm already taking a water pill and Losartan 100mg tab. (Generic for Cozaar) for my high blood pressure and other pills for my type 2 diabetes, which seems to be better right now, staying in my range daily, but my blood pressure isn't. Sandra430
