If you are talking about your A1C since most surgeons won't operate if it's too high then the answer is Nothing

You needed to start months ago - you can not effectively drop your blood sugar "enough" in a few days - sorry

In early February I had to have an emergency surgery and my BS numbers were higher than the doctors wanted before the operation. I am not insulin dependent but while in the hospital the doctors administered insulin, before and after the surgery. After I was discharged, I no longer took insulin but simply my 1000mg of Metformin twice a day. That and a very very strict diet to work on getting and keeping my BS down as healing after surgery is so very important.
