Members shared practical tips for slowing carb digestion and reducing post-meal glucose spikes, building on the original post's advice about cooking pasta, rice, and potatoes al dente, chilling them overnight, and reheating to change how the body processes carbs. Several members added their own strategies, including drastically reducing carb portions, choosing basmati rice over white rice, drinking water or green tea with meals, and toasting bread to slow digestion. A recurring theme was that everyone's body responds differently, so testing with a glucose meter and finding what works personally is key.

Good idea-add milk/water to oatmeal and refrigerate overnight and then reheat for breakfast. I'll try that.

Good morning all, I have eliminated 90% of Carbs from my diet. If I am going to have Carbs, then it is a very small quantity. Approximately 2 x heaped tablespoons.
That's it. I have found this quantity does not create spikes for my body. I also avoid Rice completely except I have found good response with Basmati rice (Long grain).
Have an awesome day all.
