Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
Normal levels are the nondiabetic range of 4.0(72 usa) to 7.8(140 usa). Numbers 3.9(70 usa) or less are hypo range. Hypos are dangerous and can lead to coma and death, if not dealt with immediately.

Your body has to make decisions on what systems to deny energy to when your blood glucose gets too low. The brain always gets available energy.

With a hypo, my vision gets fuzzy, I feel nausea, I begin to shake, I sweat profusely and symptoms continue.

Treat immediately. I have a snack, some real sugar, like hard candy or a candy bar, maybe a piece of bread, and some protein.

Any number above 7.8(140 usa) contributes to cumulative vascular damage. Cumulative vascular damage feeds diabetes complications and comorbidities.

Control your numbers below 7.8(140 usa). It will arrest diabetes complications and comorbidities right where they are now.

When we were diagnosed with diabetes our lifespans were decreased by 20 years. You can add almost all of those years back, by controlling your numbers to the nondiabetic range of 4.0(72 usa) to 7.8(140 usa).

It's your choice.
Do or don't do.
Live your best life with diabetes.
Or suffer horribly the last 10 years of your shortened life.

I repeat.
It's your choice.

Gosh!!! This is so informative you have no idea! Doctors prefer using traditional methods which I understand but his so young and he is extremely embarrassed about it so I need to figure out how to make this process not feel as much a burden for him as possible. Thank you Deborah!! 🌸🌸

I don’t know actually… I’m very new to all of this and learning 😢😢😢😢 It’s scary……….🙇🏽‍♀️ Are there any glucose monitoring smart watches and are they accurate?? It’ll help my son immensely to reduce the needles as he has to get up to 4/5 injections per day…
