@A DiabetesTeam Member I've been trying a gamut of activities to find what I enjoy. Yoga helps with balance. I started out taking free yoga classes for the community, at a local hospital. The free activity classes at the hospital are funded by the government to get people more active and healthier. And Tai chi is also good for balance too. My hubby is signed up for tai chi at a senior center to improve his balance. AARP offers a lot of different classes, at different levels, for seniors to do on zoom and many health insurance companies do as well. I also practice balance while waiting in a checkout lane, by lifting one foot and then the other. Good luck

U can use weight bands to work out while u r laying in bed. I got mine at Amazon. Velcro one end to bed posts and clip handle on and the bands come 5 to 50 lbs. Good luck

@A DiabetesTeam Member hello I have improved my balance quite a lot by walking most days with my 4 wheeler walker (Rollator) regularly (weather permitting) and ensuing that I have good quality walking shoes πŸ‘ž (and I have Orthotic insoles in my orthopaedic shoes)

For the past 26 weeks I have averaged walking around Maroochydore 2.8 kilometres per day and I am feeling well and I have gotten my Diabetes in Renission which means I don’t need any medication (Metformin previously). I have Also improved my diet by eating more healthy food

Also I have reversed the lack of Vitamin B12 in my system (which is the energy vitamin) and I no longer need to have a B12 injection every 3 months!

Hugs from Judyxx

I love Tai Chi, I have not done it for years but could again. At 69 a bit too old for yoga, if I get down on the floor it is not a cute sight crawlingover to something to drag myself up on 🀣🀣🀣 thank you for the feedback Becky.
