What are your diabetes medications and dosages, be detailed.
@A DiabetesTeam Member I have heard that insulin can do that, but don't know the particulars. I don't take meds for my pre-diabetes but have lost 45 pounds by reducing my daily calorie count to 1500, trying out different and doing physical activities, and reducing carbs and fat from my diet and increasing the amount of veggies and healthy protein that I eat. I started with counting calories and gradually added the rest- in a slow and steady fashion. It's probably important to get your docs advice about this-since it will probably (lower) your insulin dosage-and I don't know how that works, but do know you don't want to lower your blood glucose too much? May I ask what your current diet is like? I am a firm believer that reducing carbs is essential for improvement with type 2-but I don't personally know how to do that while on insulin. Good luck
