Diabetics suffer a lot of pain in their legs caused by the disease but isolated pain like that, higher up in the leg is NOT generally a symptom of Peripheral Neuropathy

Diabetic pain almost always starts in the feet and works it's way up - it doesn't present like that in the upper leg all by itself

Be careful not to blame everything on Diabetes - it can cause us to overlook other causes either easily treated or something that could get worse because we write it off as "just another problem because I'm diabetic"

I would be looking for other causes first too - thought I'd mention it.Agree we shouldn't blame diabetes for all our ailments.

Yes it does Pat but it occurs in less than 1% of Diabetics and most often in Males over age 50

I would be looking for another cause before that - not impossible but not likely either
