You can't turn on the TV or read the news from any source without hearing endlessly about the Opioid Crisis

It's killing thousands - they are dying in the streets and in the fanciest homes in the City

Every level of government is tripping over themselves trying to find solutions and throwing tons of money (our tax money by the way) at the problem and it just keeps getting worse

But just how bad IS the CRISIS?

Because the people dying from diabetes aren't usually dying on the street, the news and political people don't see it. We're invisible to them. Even people that are in our families often have some convoluted ideas as to why we have diabetes, how we got it and how we should treat it. Too many people believe if we do this or that, we will cure ourselves. How many ads do you see on line that are selling that? Reversing diabetes is a lot different than curing it.

@A DiabetesTeam Member that is so true! Just like they give the diabetic drug to overweight Americans and the diabetics run short of their drugs in Canada. And they still want it all!

It's very sad that there is a so-called halfway house for drug addiction everywhere in every city in NC but I have yet to find one for diabetic people who r in really bad shape!
