I get reads that are 30 to 50 pts different at time?,

You get such different readings when your blood sugar is changing fast.The libre measures glucose in interstitial fluid ( between blood vessels) and there is approx 15 mins delay behind a finger prick .If bs rising,finger prick higher than libre.If falling libre higher than finger.If stable both devices should read approximately the same
