I snack 0n peanuts & almonds
Different things cause hunger pangs @A DiabetesTeam Member,

1) Dehydration causes thirst. Thirst is many times mistaken as hunger- hunger cravings.
2) Eating sugars, causes more sweet cravings- hunger cravings.
3) Eating carbs, cause carb cravings- hunger cravings.
4) Lack of fuel, cause hunger cravings.
Safe snacks.
A serving or 2 of avocado- a serving is half avocado - 1 net carb.
6 blueberries, or 2 blackberries, or 3 raspberries with whipped cream - satisfies my sweet cravings - 1 carb.
7-10 almonds, or the equivalent in other nuts - 1-2 net carbs.
2 eggs - 1 carb.
2 sandwich slices of hard cheese or 1 sandwich slice of soft cheese - 1 carb.
Protein or fat - zero carbs.
