Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
Treat prediabetes like diabetes and you will do well.
Drop some weight and try to get your BMI to about 22-23%.
Cut your portion sizes. Baby steps.

Smaller portions of carbs.
Carbs are bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, beans, corn, grains, peas, lentils. If you cut your carbs to 100-130 net carbs daily you should do well. Baby steps.

If you cut your carbs to about 50-65 daily you will drop more weight. Baby steps.

Walk more, I normally walk 7 to 10 km daily. And I walk 10-15 minutes immediately after eating each meal. I also bicycle at least 60-90 minutes daily. I am in my gardens or walk in the woods, at least 5 days a week. Baby steps.

Sip, don't chug, 3-5 litres water daily.
Sleep 7-8 hours nightly.
Help people daily.
Be Accountable to someone for your diabetes journey daily. Baby steps.

Eat to your blood glucose meter.
Before meals your number needs to be below 7.0 and below 5.5 is better.
2 hours after your first bite of a meal, your number needs to be below 7.8. Baby steps.

The Atkins100 meal plan is a great start for eating right. You can see it on the Atkins web site. I don't diet, I am doing a right eating lifestyle for me. Baby steps.

Most of my meals look like stir-fry, eggs, soup, salads, or some combination of the above. Baby steps.

The most prescribed medication for prediabetes worldwide is metformin. It was derived from a herb called french lilac. There is a long history of its efficacy. Many people have gastric distress for the 1st 2 weeks. That can be minimized by taking it with meals and by the XR, extended release version of it. Baby steps.

Good luck.
Love you. Praying for you. Want only the best for you.
I wish for you more good days than bad and have many exceptional days too.
Do what you need to do.
Baby steps.

Never give up, never surrender, never ever.
You got this.
Have a wonderful day.

A curry, no rice.
