Good morning from South Jersey @A DiabetesTeam Member,
1st wash and dry your hands. Sip half a litre of water. Retest, making sure the drop is large enough to fill the end of the test strip.

It is possible that the meter could have failed. I have a 2nd meter to confirm all is good.

If the blood glucose number is above 20(360), it's normally time for the ER. This could be life threatening, if not monitored and cared for properly. So talk to your doctor and go to the ER.

If the number is still high, but not that high, low impact exercise, like walking can help lower your blood glucose numbers.

If you are dehydrated or visiting the loo often, replacing the lost fluids and electrolytes is important.

Remember to sip, not chugg water. It could also lower your blood glucose number by diluting you blood glucose concentration a bit.

Those on insulin could use some, but consult your doctor.

Praying for you.
Take care of yourself.
Good luck.
