Not only magnesium - chromium is also super important for insulin resistance and most Type 2's are deficient

And no doubt there is a dozen more but none of them are the "secret missing ingredient"

Type 2 is a metabolic disorder

Most of us (but not all) developed the condition because we followed a poor diet deficient in who knows how many key vitamins, minerals and trace elements

And it is well known and proven that taking "supplements" is the worst way to get a missing vitamin, mineral or trace because the uptake is so unpredictable - eating a well balanced nutritious diet would have "prevented diabetes" for most of us in the first place - popping a few over-the-counter tablets or capsules is not going to undo decades of "mistreatment"

But I believe in supplements and am totally convinced they help "a little" as part of an overall treatment plan - I take a few myself

But I'm pretty resistant that saying taking a specific supplement is going to make a "significant difference" in diabetes management - they just don't work like that except in the fantasy postings from snake oil sellers trying to sell you on fear

I have been doing a magnesium supplement for years.
My diabetes journey has not gotten any easier.

@A DiabetesTeam Member hello to you and I personally use Magnesium daily as a supplement and an oil massage into my arthritis and it’s given me relief
