Food Suggestion
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

Could someone help me out with different ideas on what they eat for breakfast and lunch and supper? I'm stuck on eating the same thing all the time because i stick to what works and end up eating the same old thing and it's getting annoying. You get tired of the same food at some point. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Have a wonderful and blessed day my friends 🤗

The bread is called 6-4-7 or 647 baked by old tyme. It is keto friendly at 6 net carbs. I can usually find it in white or Italian. Lightly toasted it reminds me of the bread I remember.

Most keto breads come in at 4 net carbs per slice, but taste like dried cardboard when toasted.

So 647, 6g net carbs, 40 calories, 8g fiber.

The white bread is similar, but 7g fiber. Hence 6-4-7.

It does come in a multigrain version, but I can almost never find it.

Shoprite, Aldi, Lidl, Walmart all carry it locally.

@A DiabetesTeam Member I’m glad I was able we to give you some new ideas. Meals can get boring if you always eat the same thing. I’m always looking for new things. I found a tomato soup recipe for the instant pot that is really good. I did tweak it a bit but it’s the best I’ve tried. I’m always looking for new cookbooks. If you do keto style George Stella has some great cookbooks.

Good information Jennifer. I have heard the KFC chicken was not a good choice for us diabetes ☹️

I agree with Jennifer. Carbo counting seems to work for me too. Breakfast is the one thing I haven't changed yet. It's oatmeal, blueberries and 3 to 4 spoons of Greek yogurt. I'm then open for a huge variety of veggies, fruit and protein for lunch and dinner.
