Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
1st) I see you are doing a 1x weekly injection to help control your diabetes journey. When your numbers are not being well controlled, it sounds like it's time to talk with your doctor. Baby steps.

2nd) You can do some of the hard work with portion control, carb control, exercise if your doctors allow, and more.
I walk 10-15 minutes immediately after eating each meal, That lowers the post meal glucose spike. Walking works for many. Baby steps.

3rd) Eating carbs often makes us crave carbs. You've probably heard the saying that eating Chinese, you are hungry again soon. That's the carbs in the rice calling for more carbs. Many people are addicted to carbs. Baby steps.

4th) Thirst mimics hunger. Sometimes our minds believe the thirst signal is hunger. Current scientific wisdom is 1/2 ounce water for every pound of body weight daily for best hydration, unless otherwise limited by certain medical conditions. I personally drink 150-250 ounces of water daily and weigh 180 pounds. Baby steps.

5th) Most people with diabetes can handle 100-130 carbs spread equitable throughout 3-5 meals and 1-2 snacks daily.
Some can only tolerate 80 carbs daily.
Some only 50 carbs a day.
Some can handle only 30.
Then there is me at 15-20 daily, 5-8 per meal.
Find what works best for you. Baby steps.

6th) Eat to your meter, your blood glucose numbers spreadsheet, and your food journal. They tell me what foods I can eat somewhat freely, what foods I must limit, and what foods I must almost totally avoid. Baby steps.

7th) Self care. I do 10-15 minutes self care daily. 2x a month I plan and dedicate a few hours to self care. For me it is being in nature. Forest bathing works for me. Find what works for you. Baby steps.

I wish for you more good days than bad and have many exceptional days too. Be the warrior you never knew you were. Do what you need to do. Baby steps.

And never give up, never surrender, never ever.
You got this.
Have a wonderful day.

That was high - under 180 is ok, under 156 is better and under 140 is what you should target for protection against complications

One step at a time
