It is challenging particularly in the US to get Ozempic because it is being prescribed to "non-diabetics" looking to lose weight quickly and if they can pay, they are getting the stuff
Like most anti-diabetic meds it does cause tummy issues for the first few weeks and each time you increase the dose
At this stage with the shortage which is expected to last for some time, you may want to talk to your pharmacist first and then you Doc about prescribing an alternate.
Trulicity is effectively the same drug and is not effected by the shortage as is a relatively new drug, Mounjaro which is supposed to work even better than Ozempic - either would be a "same, just made by a different company" alternative so may be worth the discussion
