It is rated as the number 2 drug in it's class just barely behind Ozempic

Both work the same it's just Trulicity is a little older formula (been on the market for 10 years compared to 5 for Ozempic)

Both are highly rated at lowering blood sugar, providing heart protection including reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke

Trulicity being a slightly older formula is noted to have a low blood sugar risk, so just have to watch and the physical dosage size is (larger) then the newer ones in the class

They all have the same common side effect as most drugs do - the upset stomach, diarrhea, nausea etc when you first start the drug and when you increase the dose - both are usually ramped up in 3 (Ozempic) or 4 (Trulicity) stages to get to the final dosage

And all in the class have the same potential dangerous side effects including Thyroid problems or Kidney Problems but since the "what will happen if you don't control your blood sugar" is super nasty, it's always a balance against what WILL happen compared to something that might

Trulicity is made in the US by Eli Lilly if that matters while Ozempic is made by Novo Nordisk in Denmark

The Newest drug in this class is called Mounjaro and is the "best rated" of the class - has only been out since last year and it improved on these earlier recipes, but all are highly rated and considered the best drug class currently for managing A1C, losing a bit of weight and protecting the vascular system
