I have gastroparisis. It is hard to manage both gastroparisis and diabetes. I try to follow the gastroparisis diet while counting carbs. Basically you stay away from. Whole grains, nuts, seeds, raw veggies and the veggies you eat need to be well cooked, beans. You eat food that are easily digested. You can google gastroparisis diet. I keep cans of progesso or chunky soup on hand.(read label for nono items and carbs). I eat basic wheat bread, pasta(small portions) white rice, canned veggies ect. I also take a multi vitamin since with the restricted diet i may be missing something. I also take miralax daily unless i develope diareah daily. With the restricted diet i have alot of constipation. Get into a dietitian through a gi doctor they may be able to help more. I am not on meds for it but am trying to control it with diet. I am seeing one in march. Hope this helps some.
