I am type 2 diabetic ahve been intermitent fasting and lowcarb eating for 10 months now blood sugar back in much better range A1A from 13 to 5,4 feel good but not there yet I will continue loosing weight gaining control long as it takes my goal is to ahve my sugar under control with no meds weight below 200lbs aand feeling better. I figure I am about half way there. I am happy so far it took many years of poor diet and abusive life to get this way so I figure a few years to recoup is ok. Now its not a diet its a new life style that I enjoy

I do 18 fasting 6 with 2 meals and an ocasional snack but now after almost a year the snacks I enjoy are also low carb and delicous as far as the person that says they read fasting bad for diabetes? weell I also read that the earth is flat that dont amke it so. When in doubt ask your meter mine likes my 18 hour a day fast.

I fast 16/8. Eat two very filling low carb meals daily, between noon and 7. Rare snacks. Lots of no carb liquids. Keeps my A1c at 5.6 or under for one year now. 10.8 at diagnosis.
