i have pre diabities pcp started me on metforfin

I have pre-diabetes doctor started on metformin for about a year is nessceary to do an oral glucose tolerance test before before diagnosed with diabities and starting insulin my last a1c was 6.0 last fasting glucose was 115 that was three months ago. not taking insuln yet
