For those that have used the services of a Diabetic Dietitian you may have got the advice "get more fiber in your diet".

Fiber is a "carb" but it is the one that can NOT be digested.

So what?

What that means "for us" is that our system sees it as any other carb we consume and it "tries" to digest it and convert it to sugar.

Because it can't our system (wastes) resources trying to do so. And if some of our digestive process is working on the fiber it is not available to metabolize the carbs… read more
