Sooner or later we will all face such a question.

It may be a party, a business dinner, Christmas Party or Family Function and many may be apprehensive because they worry that either they will be relegated to "eating salad" or they will relent and blow themselves up.

Yesterday I talked a bit about Apple Cider Vinegar which can help with slowing carb uptake, but there is definite limits to that - it's not going to work on a plate load of Lasagna 😃

Members rallied around the question of dining out at an Italian restaurant with diabetes, unanimously encouraging participation in social events rather than isolation. Several members offered practical strategies, including asking for pasta substitutions like broccoli rabe, choosing meat and vegetable dishes, using smaller portions, exploring veggie pasta alternatives like ZENB, and considering fiber supplements like PGX to help manage blood sugar spikes during occasional splurges. A recurring theme was that maintaining social connections and enjoying life are just as important as blood sugar management, with members emphasizing personal control over food choices without needing to explain or justify decisions to others.

I don't see why you shouldn't go. Graham, you know what you can eat because of your experience and research. There's other foods besides pasta. Ask for a diabetic friendly menu or just have meat and veggies but enjoy!😃
