Does Anyone Have Trouble With Their Stomach Because Of Their Diabetes Meds. I Have Been Told That By A Dr I Can't Hardly Eat Because Of It.
@A DiabetesTeam Member it might be the probiotics in the yogurt that is making the difference. Have you tried taking a daily probiotic?
I have been taking a daily maintenance version (10 billion cell) for about 2 years now - never have diarrhea (ever) anymore, no heartburn, indigestion, nothing - and all used to be common.
Now some of it might be because I'm generally eating better, but at 20 bucks for 3 months worth of capsules, I figure it's worth it.
I drink some Metamuel every day when I first get up, it helps me control my Bowels [IBS-D]; Probiotics are helpful in this as well as watching what I eat. π
If you just started taking them or upped the dose then that would be common for a few weeks.
But if you have been taking them "for some time" then that is neither normal nor "typical" and your doc should be exploring other options.
I see a Doctor in Integrative Medicine.
I think the reason that so many people need prescription drugs in the first place is because they eat too much processed foods. They could probably get by on just herbal remedies if they didnβt eat processed foods , but you should probably talk to a Doctor in Integrative Medicine about that.
