You can maybe ask your pharmacist. But diabetes is a progressive disease so I would think the answer would not be accurate. What works for 1 diabetic does not always work for others neither. Each diabetic is individual, it depends on your metabolism, diet and level of activity. Some diabetes progress faster then other, it all has to do with your own insulin production and if your body utilizes the insulin it produces, some do not produce insulin at all so they require insulin, those who still might produce insulin your body becomes resistant to the insulin being produce (in other words insulin resistance is your body not knowing what to do with your insulin or sometimes it does not produce enough period). So depending on how your body reacts to any diabetic medication and for how long is unpredictable. It depends on the progression of the disease which is not the same for all diabetics. Also if you have other medical conditions and take medications for these conditions it affects diabetes, too many factor come into play to try and even predict how your diabetes would respond to medications in general. Hope this helps somewhat.
