I am stuck in a rut with my late evening tv snacks i love ice cream and popcorn and cake. you would think that after 20 yrs of being a diabetic you would kinda have a better grip on these things sometimes i just dont have the willpower i need.
@A DiabetesTeam Member you ask a good question.
When I changed to eating 4 meals a day instead of the regular 3 that did two things for me.
First, it left me even less likely to even want a snack since my meals are 4 hours apart and my last one is eaten typically between 8 and 9 pm.
And second. When you spread your carbs/calories over 4 meals, for them to be (somewhat substantial) you don't usually have a lot of "left over room" to add in snack.
If I do have leftover carbs/calories (because I do count them all), it's typically only enough for an ounce or so of peanuts or perhaps a (no sugar added) fruit cup the size that a kid would take with their lunch.
But mostly, I don't even have a (desire) for a snack because the 4 meals have left me satisfied.
Thanks for the hugs everyone. God bless
Don't snack after supper. Just some hot tea.
When I have a large dinner I don't snack when watching TV. I will drink water or unsweetened hot tea ๐ต. Unsalted nuts or seeds are a good choice also fresh ๐๐ซ.
Sometimes I will have decaf coffee with a keto friendly brownie. Or 2/3 โs of a cup of rebel ice cream. Both very low in carbs.
