In the years I've been diabetic, I have been lucky enough to not have diabetic eyes(Knock on wood). What do you guys do to keep your eyes healthy?

I am vigilant at keeping my BGL at non-diabetic levels by limiting myself to 20 grams of net carbs a day, working out regularly to help negate insulin resistance, and keep working at dropping weight through calorie restriction (the only way) to reduce the visceral fat that impairs pancreas and kidney function. It is a lot of work, however the alternative is not acceptable to me.

Keep the overall goal in sight meaning however you feel remember it could be worse so be happy with what you can control and pray to get better. I have too many issues but at least I am still alive and kicking and I support others with my same attitude. Have a better day today than yesterday everyday Get tested I did

My eyes haven't changed since last year and the year before they got better. I wear transitions cause the sun here is really bright.

Saw your post this morning and was wondering how you and your eyes are. I go to eye dr once a year for extra test because of my diabetes. Good. I finally had my cataracts taken off. Now really good. I do use readers for close up reading. I can spot a fly on a deer a mile away now. I jokes..but so much better. No night glare now, Have a good day. Take care.
