The protein keeps sugars level overnight for some people because it digests slowly. It works for me as a bedtime snack with 2 crackers and peanut butter.
Mine is usually between 9 and 10 in the morning which is a bit high but I always know it's because of supper the night before of coffee and biscuits but if I have celery with peanut butter in the groove for supper and then I'm in the 7 _8 range
That's around 162 and that's somewhat high but I have seen worst. Keep working at it.
