Metformin

Has anyone taking metformin noticed an door from pill container
this time when I opened the new one , was a distinct odour may have been there before and I just noticed it,,, quite strong appreciate feed back

I've been on metformin for 17 years and never noticed any odor, but my smell isn't so great these recent years either. Hugs Donna

Even if others metformin doesn’t have an odor doesn’t mean yours doesn’t I think it’s good to check it out.

Finally got to drugstore today re: smelly metformin, druggist said, it is something to do
with container, the dry packs and they get in bulk , nothing to do w/metformin, but I like the answer from jackpot1357 above, makes more sense but what do I know hugs everyone for taking the time to answer

If you are talking about the fishy smell it is common. Pharmaceutical companies are not all the same and some will have that fishy smell. Check your labels. Pharmacies can and do change manufactures. It still should still work the same. Just stinks! lol

well, no one else has noticed an odour , so guess I will go to pharmacy tomorrow
and get it checked out, will let u know result
