Members deeply related to the frustration of extreme fatigue with diabetes, describing exhaustion so severe that many fall asleep at their desks, struggle to stay awake after sitting down, and find their minds willing but their bodies unable to follow through with daily activities or exercise. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped, including daily walking even when it feels impossible, taking vitamin B12 supplements for low levels, using CPAP machines for sleep apnea, drinking ginseng tea, and celebrating small victories like walking to the end of the block instead of pushing for marathons. A recurring theme was the tension between wanting to stay active and feeling completely drained, with many emphasizing the importance of forcing yourself to move when possible, seeking medical evaluation for underlying issues like sleep apnea or vitamin deficiencies, and giving yourself grace during the difficult days while holding onto hope for better ones.

WHen I get that way, I count it a victory to go up and down my stairs in my house. Then I count it a double victory if I can go to the end of the block. You don't need to run a marathon everyday. Just do what you can.

I suffer extreme fatigue,if I sit down for a few minutes I nearly always go to sleep!
I make myself go for a walk every day 30 minutes in the morning same in the afternoon,if active jobs need doing I do them!
Not saying it,s easy but it definately helps your mental state! Don,t give up just make yourself do it! Keith 🇬🇧
