Lately I feel like I am going through menopause again. I get so warm that I am sweating and this time I checked my level and it was 8.7 and I am normally no higher than 6-7.

Members connected over the shared experience of feeling overheated and sweating with type 2 diabetes, with many describing hot flashes, night sweats, and facial warmth that occur even after menopause or when blood sugar levels rise. Several members shared that their doctors have been uncertain about the cause or reluctant to adjust medications like Metformin, leading some to consider switching providers in search of more responsive care. A recurring theme was the frustration of not knowing whether the overheating is directly related to diabetes or another factor, balanced by a sense of solidarity in realizing they are not alone in this uncomfortable experience.

Get another doctor. One that will change with the times and new meds.

I have night sweats, just wet all over. My doctor does not know what to do. I am changing doctors, so maybe she will be able to help. I have been reading that Metformin is no good for everyone, but every doctor thinks it is wonderful. My doctor does not like to change, but I wonder if another medication would help my blood sugar go down. I am 78 yrs old, & dr says your bs goes up when you get older.
