I've started a low carb diet, and my blood sugar levels have plummeted. In the U.K., I have replaced bread with high protein rolls from Lidl which have half the carbs of other rolls, and are excellent with breakfast. I'm trying to avoid going on insulin, so have cut out pasta, bread, and reduced the amount of potatoes that I eat. Rice is a no no as well. Stir fries are good, as are salads.

Low carb diet and exercise works wonders!
Look up 8 week blood sugar diet by Michael Mosely.

I had amazing results.. hard going but saving your life in 8 weeks sounds fantastic and it worked for me! I dropped my hba1c from 128 to 36! In 12 weeks.. so took a bit longer but my sugars were Sky Hugh and literally off the charts here in Uk.
