I did for 15 years, and then believe it or not, I got a serious kidney infection and the influenza virus and it triggered me into being a full on Type 2 diabetic needing medication to stabilise my sugar levels. Apparently this can happen if your body is put under massive stress caused by a death in the family, bad illness etc.
My mom was only ever diet controiled for all 40 odd years of her t2 life never on medication or insulin. Also 0 complications from being t2.
i had a A1C of 8 about seven months ago... i started to watch what i ate and exercised everyday.. my A1C went down to 6.5 .... and i'm 64 years old... my doctor was amazed...
I have controlled my BS for 7 years by cutting way back on starches. I still eat them but not often and hopefully not much when I do. Mainly protein, veggies and fruit. It seems to work for me.
Yeah, it happened to me.
