Also, ask your doc about taking the Toujeo in the morning instead of at night. See what that does for you.

I am on Toujeo for almost 2 years now. Depending on your financial situation, you should ask your provider if they could check and see if you qualify for patient assistance program. I get mine that way through the doc's office. As for the effectiveness - I am terrible at judging that because it seems like at first anything we try works for me then within a few months everything goes back to the way it was and it makes me think all the meds and insulin are no longer effective.

I was recently switched to Toujeo Solostar 300 from Tresiba because my private health insurance doesn’t cover Tresiba. Toujeo sucks!! Tresiba did a much better job at controlling my blood sugars throughout the day, without using as much Tresiba and without using as much Humalog before meals. My doctor couldn’t be bothered to request a formulary exemption from my insurance company to get Tresiba for me. I guess I will be looking for a new doctor because I feel lousy all the time with Toujeo.
