Numbness In Feet And Hands
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm taking Gabapentin 800 mg 3 times a day for neopathy damage. I have both numbness and pain, sometime severe stabbing pain. I think that is a max dosage. Is there anything else that helps with this problem?
My diabetes is not severe except for this problem. My A1C is usually 5.8.
Also I wonder what a A1C without diabetes would be?

Gabapentin didn't do anything for me so I am now using Lyrica & Cymbalta. Seems to be helping some.

I too have diabetic neuropathy probably because I didn't take care of myself for years. Wish I knew of a drug too. I also get itchy feet that drive me crazy.

Thank you. I'm able to directly email my doctor. I'll add discussion of Lyrica & Cymballa to my next visit next week.
