@Actos, Try to use a dietican; if you don't have access, go to our resources. Any AVOID
thing with sugar like fruit, candy, ice cream, carbs. Veggies are go but if you don't care to be a vegan try flounder, chicken any fowl....watch out for the dressing and gravy.

As a T2, you can eat anything you like but you have to medicate for the quantity of carbs you eat.

So it comes down to bracketing ie with this level of meds you can eat abc and with another level of meds you can eat abcd and etc.

On the lowest level of carbs you will lose weight and long term you will risk other serious health issues.

On the highest level of carbs you will have trouble dosing the right amount of meds because a little extra carbs will be a lot. But worse still if you do not eat enough you will have a low and could pass out.

If your T2 is marginal and you want to stay off meds a low carb diet might keep you below your carb tolerance limit. If you want to be able to eat more carbs then you will need meds.

Regardless of the level of carbs and meds you choose you need good routines to prevent highs or lows.

The major carbs are All SUGARS, all grain related, potato and sweet potato, fruit, dried fruit. Other than that packaged food is labelled for carbs.

I am on maximum tabs and I am happy if my BS is under 10 two hours after my evening meal, so I adjust my eating to achieve this. Lunch is a lighter meal and so is breakfast and overall I get an acceptable set of readings.
