I took Metformin when I was first diagnosed with T2D last November. I didn't last 3 weeks on it. I was so very sick with Diarrhea and being super dizzy. Doc took me off that right away and put me on [[treatment:Januvia:5612ce4f6bcd619a[[phone:12000360]] 100:]] mg. I lost weight and my a1c went from 7.9 to 6.3 in 6 months. if you take meds for high cholesterol, I would look into that as well for the muscle cramping. Hope this can help you in some way.
I could not take it as I experienced the same side effects. I was very fortunate to lower my sugars with diet and exercise..
Totally Agree with the full sugar vs substitutes. So many substitutes can cause heart palpitations and other health complications.
even though my symptoms initially eased around 3 weeks after starting the pills- I find that when my blood sugars are high or i'm am not 100% the symptoms come back
