I had my stomach stapled 20 years ago as prevention for familial diabetes. My father was T1, mother T2 as well as all 4 of my sisters. At 59 I have now been diagnosed with T2. Finding it very hard to believe and finding it very hard to understand BS readings when I can hardly eat!! I will be seeing my PCP in a week but am very nervous about whether or not he will have any experience with my unique case.
Anyone else out there with the same parameters?

I have taken Glyburide in the past and within an hour of taking it I would be hypoglycemic. As of the last several years, I have been on Janumet. As of late it didn’t seem to be lowering my blood sugar so I asked my doctor to be put on a low dose of Glyburide (1.25mg) in addition to my Janumet, since I knew it lowered my blood sugar.
