It can help with blood sugar in control. But of course some people say it helps and others say it doesn't help. Ask your doctor and see what they say but it doesn't hurt to try it and see what happens.
I know cinnamon helps with digestion and nausea. Did not improve my blood sugar numbers. You will want to talk to your doctor before starting anything new, even cinnamon, or OTC supplements. Good luck

The less expensive Cascia Cinnamon is toxic at the therapeutic levels. So Ceylon Cinnamon is the better choice.
Some people say the Cinnamon helps them with blood glucose control. For me it only makes a slight difference in my numbers. No more than 1-2 points USA.

I've also read that metformin causes lab issues and is putting us on a path to kidney failure and dialysis. I would rather take 100 vitamins than 1 pill that will kill my kidneys. I worked in a dialysis unit and will never do dialysis. It's nothing but living a long slow death.
