I started receiving disability benefits in 2014 due to complications from diabetes. I had a mini stroke in 2013 as a result of diabetes. I did have a representative to apply for my benefits.

In nj you have to have a strong case for SSI! To get it

I only know that in the USA you can receive temporary ssi, while waiting for your disability to be approved. It is a long process. It took me a year and a half to get approved. I was working at the time I became disabled

Are you able to get grant when you have been diagnosed with diabetic?

It depends on your circumstances. I got SSDI that way.
