Members related to the rollercoaster CGM patterns described in the post, with most agreeing that meal timing and carbohydrate intake are the biggest drivers of spikes and dips. Several members shared practical strategies including tracking emotions and stress alongside glucose readings, reducing carb intake significantly, and timing readings to avoid the natural post-meal spike window. A recurring theme was that understanding your own patterns takes time and experimentation, with community members offering encouragement and helpful resources along the way.

I eat 2-3 carb meals.
No added sugars in food and drink.
No carbs.

2 eggs is 1 carb.
A sandwich slice of cheese is 1 carb.
A serving of sald greens is 1 carb.
6 blueberries is 1 carb.
4 raspberries is 1 carb.
2-3 blackberries is 1 carb.
Half an avocado is 1 carb.
Most low carb vegetables are 2-3 carbs.

So carbs are out for me.
As a lifelong Japanese rice-aholic, this is excruciating.

I red meats, chicken, turkey, fish, shellfish, fats, oils have no carbs.

Good luck as you find your way.
Praying.

@A DiabetesTeam Member Depends when I take a reading. Usually there's a spike taking a reading within an hour after eating (anything). After an hour my level slowly comes down.
