I consume 3 meals and 2 snacks every day, starting with breakfast at approximately 07:00am.
At bedtime, at approximately 22:00, I eat an additional snack comprising of oats and Greek Yoghurt.
This means that I’m fasting for approximately 9 hours overnight.
Is this in order?
@A DiabetesTeam Member With my CGM I check my sugar right before I go to bed. If it's below 100 I'll have a spoon of honey so the monitor doesn't wake me halfway through the night.

Hello my friend.
I tend to eat every 3 hours.
Three sustainable meals and three snacks.
I had a very bad low this morning, the worst I’ve experienced actually, and I took a long time to become absolutely stable.
I missed my bedtime snack last night, so I think that was the problem. 🤗
@A DiabetesTeam Member I'm not really into forced fasting and now that I have diabetes I tend to eat lightly about every two hours. I find it nurturing. I usually fall asleep around 1-2:00 am and wake up about 5:00 am. I might have some cheese and then go back to bed and wake up again at 10:00 am. I have this oral fixation so because I find myself needing to eat more often I focus on healthier options at these times.

Well done! 💪💪💪💪
I am not very good at fasting. I have about 9 hours between my last snack and breakfast. I am better at not eating carbohydrates. My last A1C was 5.3. That is in the normal range and I am sort of OK with it. I would like to break 5. I know a few people with type 2 have done this and posted about it. I take 2 grams of Metformin ER each day and about 20 grams of carbohydrates per day. I need to cut back on carbs if I want to break 5 on my A1C. I was diagnosed 23 years ago and my highest A1C after diagnosis was 5.5. That number included a 1 month vacation eating in restaurants. I tried to make good choices but you cannot be sure what goes into a restaurant meal. My lowest number was 5.0. I was so close.... Trying to break 5 seems to help keep me motivated to stay away from carbohydrates. I am now 83 and feeling healthy. I do exercise each day. I am retired and have the time. I do have a bad habit of snacking after supper. I snack on boiled eggs and coleslaw that uses zero carb sauce.
