I also have gastroparisis. The glp-1 meds like ozempic can slow your stomach down even more. I take trulicity another glp-1 med and have no problem with it but I haven't lost weight with it. You can talk to your doctor about one and get their opinion. I'm not sure what other meds are out there for weight loss. Probably the best way is to limit and count calories and to count carbs. Add exercise in. See if you can get into a dietitian to help set up a eating plan that will cover both weight loss and diabetes control. I eat for gastroparisis and count carbs for diabetes. I am not actively trying to lose weight.

@A DiabetesTeam Member I was on Ozempic for a few months. I am 6'0" and weigh 170. While taking Ozempic I weighed a steady 163. I have gained 7 lbs since going off Ozempic. I had great FBS numbers on Ozempic. Always under 110. But, the downside of Ozempic for me was the nausea and because I was always nauseous I never felt like eating thus the weight loss. Also, I was too thin. I looked very frail. But, like I stated it is a pretty good bet you'll lose weight if you can deal with the side-effects.
